SO, WHERE IS JESUS?

“And behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” Revelation 22:12

Many Christians despair at the delay of the return of Jesus.

They feel lost – left behind.

They fail to conduct daily Spiritual Exercise and don’t feel the Holy Spirit in their life.

If you spend time each day in prayer, meditation and study then you will have the Spirit and you will feel that assurance of His presence.

My friend, I plead with you to join and partake of divinity and then you will bear fruit of good works and have that inner peace that everyone seeks.

I praise God for His plan of salvation and I lament that so few are ready that He delays His coming lest so many would be lost.

What say you about God today?

Spiritual Exercise is an important part of my daily regimen, and it should be a part of yours too. If you spend an hour a day doing physical exercise to keep in shape, then why not spend an hour a day doing spiritual exercise? If you spend an hour a day in leisure activities like watching TV, then why not spend an hour a day with God?

Salvation is a one-to-one affair. Family or church worship isn’t enough to form and grow a relationship with God.

So, join me and spend time with God. You’ll love it!

JESUS IS THE GREATEST CELEBRITY ALIVE AND HE’S YOUR CLOSEST FRIEND

“And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.” Revelation 19:6

You and I are drawn closer and closer to Jesus as we spend personal time with Him in prayer, meditation and study. And this closeness is special.

He is King of kings, and He is our best friend. How about that!!

Do you appreciate your connection to the most influential person in existence?

I no longer care to follow Hollywood stars or famous politicians. No, because I am close friends with Jesus.

I praise God for this new perspective on life where I relate to other people as either spiritual brothers and sisters or as those who are in need of spiritual help.

You and I can help those in need by showing love to everyone, by providing physical, and emotional support wherever it’s needed, and as people see our good works, they will be led to Jesus by the Holy Spirit.

God has a beautiful plan for you and me.

PONDER INFINITY FOR AWHILE, TASTE IT’S CHALLENGE

“Great is the Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.” Psalm 147:5

I meditate on the greatness of God. I let it challenge my mind – stretch it’s ability to comprehend. I allow it to humble me in the presence of God’s Holy Spirit.

Infinity, of course, is beyond all human capacity to fully understand so we accept it and move on.

But while we are here on earth it is helpful to use it as a tool to embrace the greatness of God.

We can’t see God in person, so we are left to study the universe, and cellular biology – things mega-large and micro-small.

We marvel at the attributes of God and I praise Him for taking the time to love me.

WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED ABOUT GOD TODAY?

“When the Helper comes, whom I shall send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of me.” John 15:26

When we contemplate God throughout the day the Holy Spirit opens to our minds new truth about Jesus and salvation.

The Holy Spirit guides our thoughts and we see loving attributes about God that were unnoticed.

God is immeasurable and beyond description, but encourages us to study Him and spend time with Him in sacred prayer.

The Trinity wants us to know them intimately. They seek our full attention and desire to bless us with their power of influence so we can bear witness to a sinful world.

I praise God for His attention to me, for His love for me, and for His plan for me.

Do You Have Integrity?

“Better is the poor who walks in his integrity Than one perverse in his ways, though he be rich.” Proverbs 28:6

The word “integrity” is seldom used today. It stands for honesty and steadfastness. Last week I received a bill after my meal at a restaurant and the amount was incorrect. It was only 1/2 of the amount it should have been. I told the waiter about the error and he fixed it and I paid the full amount. Across the table sat another party who is no longer a Christian, observing what I was doing, and afterward she made a comment about honesty.

Integrity matters. It speaks for us and about us.

Jesus was a man of integrity. He was totally honest and trustworthy and that’s one of the reasons we love Him.

How Did Jesus Rebuke?

But to them that rebuke him shall be delight. .” Proverbs 24:25

Jesus rebuked hypocrisy. In other areas He led by example and I think that’s the best way to demonstrate a loving nature. Don’t you?

Some opinions of society go against the counsel of God and we should rebuke them as Jesus did. Jesus told people to “go and sin no more,” but He did it privately, in such a manner as to let people know and understand Him first and foremost as a loving person.

We should follow His example. We can rebuke redemptively, not critically. We can rebuke with love, or not at all. We can demonstrate a life of peace with no worries. A life of joy with no stress because we spend time each day with the Father, just like Jesus did.

I praise God for His willingness to spend time with me and love me personally, and help me rebuke only in love.

Are You Helping Kids To Hope Today, To Prevent Disaster Tomorrow?

We recognize the words of Proverbs 22:6 as counsel from God. We trust the words: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” And we study scripture to do the best we can. And so we raise our children to become spiritual men and women.

The Daily Mail.com reported this week that “Two top American bankers commit suicide in London as one jumps 500 ft. to his death from JP Morgan skyscraper and another hangs himself in his luxury home.” Two men with exceptional careers. Men with money. Men with all the conveniences their money can purchase. Men without hope.

The received the best opportunities the world offers. They attended the most prestigious educational institutions. They probably obtained advanced degrees and possessed brilliant minds. But they remained men without hope.

They lived with families who loved them. They were 39 and 58 years old respectively. Maybe their parents are still living. They left a void in the lives of others who grieve for them and suffer for this loss. And they were men without hope.

As Christians who Love Jesus, we read the New Testament that raises our hope of the soon return of our Lord. We inculcate hope, and we have something to say to the world about God and hope. If we as parents and grandparents become humble and Christ-like, our children will see the love of God drawing us forward. They will understand the underlying laws of God in all we say and do. And that fosters hope.

They will then become truly educated and grow into men and women of hope and I praise God for that.
