Tired of doing Nothing?

Are you tired of doing Nothing yet? In John 15:5 Jesus said that apart from Him you can do nothing! Everything we do apart from Him is nothing. Stop doing nothing and connect to,in.with Him. Start doing something. Start living the great adventure. Depend on Him.

What say you about God today?

Spiritual Exercise is an important part of my daily regimen, and it should be a part of yours too. If you spend an hour a day doing physical exercise to keep in shape, then why not spend an hour a day doing spiritual exercise? If you spend an hour a day in leisure activities like watching TV, then why not spend an hour a day with God?

Salvation is a one-to-one affair. Family or church worship isn’t enough to form and grow a relationship with God.

So, join me and spend time with God. You’ll love it!

Share this if it has blessed you.

Jesus Name

Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Jesus is our only hope! Only from Him can we receive a love for God that is above all else and a love for our fellow beings that is above ourselves. I long to live in a universe where we all receive from our Creator to give to one another in unselfish love. This kind of love only Jesus can give. We don’t need to be only saved from death, but we need to be saved from our selfish natures. Jesus save us from ourselves. Give us a love for You that is with all we are and have, and give us a love for others above ourselves.

Do you love Jesus like this?

John 12:3 Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.
As we enter the Easter weekend and remember the death and resurrection of the Master, do we love Him like Mary did? Do we express our love to Him in a tangible way? Love gives. Lets remember to return love to Him who gives all for and to us.

Jesus Name

I was trying to learn what Jesus name would have been in the Hebrew language and found that it would be more like the English name Joshua. It seems that there is not a letter j in the Hebrew and it would be a y instead. As near as I can tell Yehoshuah would be the closest long version of His name. It seems to me to have an almost tribal sound to the pronunciation, something like ye-waw-shew-ah. The first e being like the e in neighbor, and the last syllable being a rough guttural sound not found in Greek or English. The meaning would be something like YHWH(God) shua(saves). Which fits Matthew 1:21, “…and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” There is also a shorter version which is Yeshua. However we pronounce His name and in whatever language, as Acts 4:12 says,”…there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” In my language, I praise the name of Jesus my Lord and Savior!
How about you?

Eternal life!

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3

Eternal life begins now! We can know intimately the most powerful being in the universe! This is what eternal life is all about, knowing the only true God! Know God! Lord, I would know You. I would know You today and walk with You. Help me to hear Your voice as You spend time with me today.

The sacrifice of Praise

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. Hebrews 13:15

Sometimes praising God seems like a sacrifice. Sometimes it is a pleasure. Regardless of our circumstances we can continually offer our praises to God giving thanks to His name. Lord remind me to offer to You my continual praises.

Ready or not, here I come!

Matthew 24:44 “Therefore you also be ready for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

When I was a child, I played hide and go seek. I would count to 100 and then yell out,”Ready or not, here I come!” Jesus is Coming Again to this planet! We can be ready if we are abiding in Him. If we are spending time in His word and in prayer getting to know Him, we will be ready when He comes. He is coming. Let’s be ready.

Praise Him

Hebrews 13:15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.

No matter how my day may go, I can always offer praises to God for all of His blessings to me.

To know God

Jeremiah 23-24 23Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; 24 But let him who glories glory in this,That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the Lord. NKJV

I wish that all my brothers and sisters in Christ would be able to soon glory in this, that they understand and know God. What a privilege it is to even be invited to have a personal relationship with the most powerful being in the universe! I pray that we do not let this honor pass by.
