“The next day John saw Jesus coming unto him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world!” John 1:29

John understood Old Testament theology. He knew the sacrifices on the altars at the temple were symbols of the great sacrifice Jesus was going to make for the entire world.

Only he and Jesus understood at the time what Jesus was going to do, and that He must die for our sins.

John called Jesus a “Lamb of God” and that’s a good thing as lambs are gentle creatures.

Jesus always showed His love to men, women and children.

His mind was always seeking some way to help others as He lived His life of service.

I praise God for Jesus and the example He left for us to emulate.

What say you about God today?

Spiritual Exercise is an important part of my daily regimen, and it should be a part of yours too. If you spend an hour a day doing physical exercises to keep in shape, then why not spend an hour a day doing spiritual exercises? If you spend an hour a day in leisure activities like watching TV, then why not spend an hour a day with God in Spiritual Exercise?

If Jesus spent all night in prayer than why do we think we need so little?

Jesus would arise early in the morning and go outside and find a place of seclusion to pray. He spent time with the Father and received strength. It allowed Him to resist temptation. It allowed Him to succeed in His mission.

You and I can benefit much from studying the life of Jesus. It will give us the same power from the Father that He received. Power that will slowly change our desires to be more pure. Power that will slowly help us to dislike sinful things. When our desires and “likes” change we can be used by God as a sweet aroma to help others.

Salvation is a one-to-one affair. Family or church worship isn’t enough to form and grow a relationship with God.

So, join me and spend time with God. Spiritual Exercises are fun, You’ll love it!

Share this if it has blessed you.
